Figure 1. A pair of homosexuals. Or are they...?

Homosexuality quiz

I see a lot of confusion online surrounding the usage of the terms gay, faggot, homosexual, etc.

While homosexuality certainly does exist, I often see people accused of faggotry when their behavior is in fact strictly heterosexual. For some reason this happens to me a lot...

Wikipedia defines homosexuality as follows:

Homosexuality is sexual attraction, romantic attraction, or sexual behavior between members of the same sex or gender.

Thus, there are actually three distinct concepts of homosexuality: romantic attraction, sexual attraction, and sexual behavior. To call someone a “homosexual” is to place them into any one of these three classifications.

I made this quiz to investigate the true meaning of homosexuality. By learning from specific examples, we can be more accurate when considering whether to call someone a faggot on the internet.

Quiz

  1. George has been dating a boyish girl with short hair, whom he refers to as a “tomboy.”

    Is this a homosexual relationship?

  2. Michael has a cute friend (male). He often compliments his friend on his physical appearance, and he enjoys looking at pictures of his friend, including artistic nudes.

    Does this make Michael gay?

  3. Michael masturbates to a picture of his aforementioned male friend, just to see what it feels like. While he enjoyed it, he doesn’t think he would want to actually have sex with him.

Has Michael crossed the line into faggotry?

  4. Joseph has cuddlefriends (i.e. friends who cuddle) of both sexes. He cuddles with one of his male friends semi-regularly, and these cuddle sessions include things like caressing of the hair and occassionally even kissing.

  5. Lewis likes to go on long walks with a special friend of his. The pair have a romantic connection and hope to get married one day, but the idea of having homosex disgusts both of them. They allow each other to have sex with women, but they consider their relationship with each other to be a priority.

    Is Lewis a homosexual?

  6. Timothy is in a straight marriage and has two young children. Sometimes he flirts with men on the internet because he likes the attention. However, he is not actually interested in pursuing any kind of romantic relationship and could never imagine being unfaithful to his wife.

This is a gay marriage, but are the men in it gay?

  10. One evening, Thomas and his legal husband are both independently masturbating to straight porn, when they realize it would be more convenient for both of them if they helped each other out. They “collaborate” while imagining themselves having straight sex with straight women.
